Connecticutt High School Students Raise Funds for Foundation Through Friendship Bracelet Sale

The sophomore class at Valley Regional High School in Connecticut chose the ARH Foundation for its annual “Civics in Action” project.

The purpose of the project is for the students to do something to benefit their school, town or nation.

After being informed about the struggles the people of Appalachia face, the students found the ARH Foundation, which is the fundraising arm for the not-for-profit Appalachian Regional Healthcare system, and deemed it a worthy cause.

The ARH Foundation is vital to helping the rural ARH system maintain the latest technology, quality facilities and services that have made ARH a regional healthcare leader.

To raise money for the Foundation, the students made friendship bracelets and sold them both online and to their friends and family. In total, the students raised $168.55 for the Foundation.
